Financial Benefits
Competitive Salaries The Henson Group offers base salaries across all divisions that exceed industry averages. In fact, The Henson Group’s salaries are generally at least 10% higher than industry averages (See the 2007 IT Salary Guide for reference.) Additionally, salaries are adjusted annually to ensure competitive salary structures.
Matching Retirement Funds The Henson Group currently offers all full-time employees the opportunity to participate in a SIMPLE IRA plan (Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees of Small Employers). Under a SIMPLE IRA plan, employees and employers make contributions to Individual Retirement Arrangements (IRAs) set up for employees, subject to certain percentage-of-pay and dollar limits. THG currently matches employees’ contributions, dollar-for-dollar, up to 3% of pay.
Full-Pay Bench Policy Consulting professionals employed by The Henson Group are not directly penalized for under-utilization and receive their full salary compensation. In the event a consultant is not assigned to a specific engagement, that employee can take advantage of a range of professional development and training programs to enhance current skill sets. Guidance is also provided to ensure the consultant’s aptitudes are aligned with the Company’s objectives and marketing efforts, to minimize under-utilization.
Bonuses The Henson Group believes its employees should share in its success. Therefore, generous bonus structures are in place to reward outstanding performance, with bonuses for consulting professionals at the equivalent of 20% of the employee’s base salary.
Referral Bonus Policies The Henson Group appreciates the extra effort its employees make in identifying project opportunities and potential resources for hire. To reward these efforts, The Henson Group provides generous bonuses, above the regular compensation package.
Employer-Funded Life Insurance Coverage The Henson Group invests in covering the complete cost for providing its full-time employees with Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance. This program provides coverage, through MetLife, for employees in the event of accidental death, severe injuries, or paralysis resulting from accidents on or off the job.
Employer-Funded Short-term/Long-term Disability Income Insurance When you’re healthy and working, it’s hard to imagine being disabled by illness or injury. But it can happen. That is why The Henson Group invests in covering the complete cost for providing its full-time employees with both Short-term and Long-term Disability Income Insurance, through MetLife.
Group Legal Plan Provides assistance with routine legal services such as real estate, adoption, divorce, bankruptcy, and wills. This includes assistance with immigration status. For those employees that The Henson Group sponsors with an H1B job (the official and primary US work visa / work permit), the Company will submit an H1B visa application and subsequently, if sought, help with applying for a Green Card (Legal Permanent Residency). Matching Charitable Donations Charitable donations are matched by The Henson Group, up to $500 per year, per employee.
Vacation & Holidays
Paid Vacation Employees of The Henson Group will accrue two weeks annually to start, accruing additional weeks of vacation based on total years of completed service. THG employees also have the option of converting unused vacation to cash.
Holidays All regular employees receive their normal pay for ten holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and one Floating Holiday (to be taken with prior management approval).

Medical Insurance THG employees can access premium health care coverage, at costs well below industry standards. (The Henson Group covers 100% of these benefits for the individual employee, with substantial partial coverage for adding dependents to coverage.)
Dental Insurance Dental coverage is offered through several dental plan options. All dental coverage options include preventive, basic, major, and orthodontic coverage. Technical Training & Microsoft Certifications THG allocates 5% of the company's revenue to invest in training programs for its employees, with an average of 140 hours in professional training sessions available for every employee. New consultants at each THG office receive an average of four times that amount of training.
Professional Development Programs The Henson Group will provide you with the opportunity to learn new technologies or enhance your skill sets with a particular focus area, with specific guidance in elevation to the next level of consulting professional. This includes investing in Certification and other types of technical training, as well as absorbing the cost of attending key air-lifts and other Microsoft initiatives, often held at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, WA.
Career Building Programs The Henson Group will provide you with career guidance and planning services, including Mentoring Opportunities with senior leadership, regularly scheduled Performance Reviews, career Goal Setting exercises, Professional Development Planning (see directly above), and many more activities.
Microsoft Architect Program For senor technology specialists, The Henson Group will invest the costs for absorbing the fee for the Microsoft Certified Architect Program.
“Expert Identity” Building Activities The Henson Group provides the opportunity to participate in activities beyond the scope of standard service delivery, designed to help you develop an identity as an expert practitioner in your particular sphere of specialization. This includes logistical and financial support for developing and delivering Hands-on Labs, technical seminars, User Groups, and other types of profile-building events; editorial and graphic support authoring Case Studies, White Papers, and Technical Books; support for blog creation and management; and more.
Memberships & Subscriptions The Henson Group reimburses its employees for the fees associated with participating in professional organizations and subscribing to industry periodicals to advance understanding of technical subjects.
Seminars & Workshops The Henson Group offers reimbursement for seminars/workshops which are work-related, as well as reimbursement for expenses (parking, tolls, lunch, etc.) incurred with seminar participation.
Family and Parenting Benefits
Paid Maternity & Parental Leave New birth mothers are eligible for paid maternity leave. In addition, new mothers and fathers receive up to two weeks of paid parental leave. Additional unpaid leave is optional.
Adoption Leave THG provides paid adoption leave to salaried employees who have been employed for at least one year. Additional unpaid leave is optional.
Dependent Care Spending Account An employee who has to pay for care for dependents in order to work may want to take advantage of the Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA) plan. Money contributed to a DCSA is free from federal income, Social Security, and Medicare taxes and remains tax-free when it is received. These contributions may also reduce the member's federal tax liability for the year in which they are deducted.

Verizon Wireless Discount Any THG employee seeking that purchases a new Verizon Wireless phone for personal use is eligible for an automatic 8% discount on their monthly wireless bill. If you have an existing personal Verizon Wireless account, then you can also receive this benefit.
